National Lung Cancer Screening Program

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer-related deaths in Australia, claiming more than 8,900 lives in 2024. The National Lung Cancer Screening Program (NLCSP), launched in July 2025, aims to improve health outcomes by increasing early detection of lung cancer in high-risk people.

St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, in partnership with St Vincent’s Private Radiology, is offering eligible participants easy-to-access, bulk billed, low dose CT scans with minimal wait times.

This partnership also ensures that that any significant findings have a streamlined referral pathway to a respiratory service or other specialist services, with ongoing management and care through St Vincent’s Hospital.
