2019 ACMD Research Week
The 2019 Aikenhead Centre for Medical Discovery Research Week will be held from Monday 5th - Friday 9th August 2019. ACMD Research Week is a celebration of research activity across the campus. The broad aims of the ACMD Research Week are to:
- Encourage excellence in on-campus research
- Promote interaction between clinicians and scientists on the campus
- Provide opportunities for researchers in different disciplines (allied health,clinical, nursing and scientific) to present their work at the same forum
- Contribute to evidence-based healthcare and highlight the range of research technologies and resources that draw the campus together

Call for Abstracts
The ACMD Research Week Committee is now calling for abstracts to be considered for the 2019 ACMD Research Week for oral and poster presentations.
Submitted abstracts are invited to display a poster at the Poster Viewing session on the opening night of ACMD Research Week of Monday 5 August 2019, and selected applicants will be invited for an oral presentation during the week.
Abstract Submissions open: Monday 1 April 2019
Abstract Submission close: Monday 13 May 2019

Acquisitive Art Prize
The ACMD Research Week Committee invites emerging and established artists to participate in the 2019 ACMD Acquisitive Art Prize,responding to the theme "art in science, science in art". The winning entry will be awarded $2000, and will become part of the St Vincent's Hospital Art Collection. Also available are the People's Choice Award of $100 and St Vincent's Staff Award of $100.
Submitted works will be displayed at St Vincent's Gallery from 1 - 30 August 2019, and winners will be announced on the opening night of Tuesday 6th August 2019.
