SVHM 2020 Pathways to Practice Nursing Programs

  • Registered Nurse Refresher Program [RNRP]

This program is specifically designed to assist RNs who want to return clinical nursing after a brief [less than 5 years] absence.

The RNRP is free to participants and is a flexible model that allows you to participate on a part time basis across a 6 – 12 week period. On successful completion of this program you will have the opportunity to apply for suitable positions with SVHM.

  • Nurse Pool Program [NPP]

This is a 12 week supervised clinical program for RNs who are looking for the opportunity to transition into acute and subacute nursing. Participants will be employed by SVHM and will be required to work 32 hours per week [0.8 EFT] - Monday to Friday initially – after successful completion of the program your employment will be ongoing and you will then commence working a rotating roster.

  • Supervised Return to Practice

This program is case dependent – all applications will be reviewed and considered for RNs who currently have non-practising conditions on their AHPRA registration and require 460 hours of supervised to have this condition lifted.

2020 Information session

SVHM will be holding an information session on Thursday 6th February 2020 from 6:30 – 7:30 PM.

This event will be a great opportunity for you to come along and meet a variety of SVHM representatives who will answer any questions you may have in respect to your specific nursing career needs.
