Interns are asked to rank their rotation line preferences and are allocated accordingly. Three weeks of annual leave are taken at the end of the clinical year and two weeks of annual leave are taken during your Emergency rotation at SVHM. For specific annual leave requests, we ask Interns to select a line of rotations that has an Emergency SVHM term during your preferred leave dates. After the master roster has been completed, there will be an opportunity to request rotation swaps with other Interns, whilst ensuring both Interns meet the required clinical experiences for successful completion of Internship. Our Medical Workforce Unit will do their best to accommodate preferences and rotation swaps although unfortunately cannot guarantee all preferences are met. Back to Intern homepage.
