East Metro & Murrindindi Local Health Service Network You are here:HomeOur ServicesLocal Health Service Network Established on 1 July 2025, the East Metro and Murrindindi Local Health Service Network (EMM LHSN) brings together Alexandra District Health (ADH), Eastern Health (EH), St Vincents Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) and Yea & District Memorial Hospital (YDMH). Our shared goal is to strengthen care close to home through collaboration. The EMN LHSN is one of twelve networks across Victoria established by the Department of Health in 2025. Each Network is responsible for: meeting their communities’ care needs as close to home as possible supporting more equitable and consistent care for patients increasing consistency of quality and safety of care strengthening workforce attraction, retention and support delivering support services at scale Learn more about the Local Health Service Networks at the Department of Health website. Network priority areas The East Metro & Murrindindi Local Health Service Network is working together across four key priority areas to improve care for our community: Access, equity and flow Making it easier for people to get the right care at the right time. This includes reducing barriers to accessing specialist services and improving how people move between local, metropolitan and specialist care, so services are well coordinated and fair for everyone. Workforce Building a strong, skilled and flexible health workforce across rural and metropolitan areas. This supports reliable access to high‑quality care and helps ensure health professionals are well supported now and into the future. Safety and quality Providing safe, high‑quality care across all services. This includes learning from community needs, sharing best practice, and continuously improving how care is delivered. Shared services Working together to share systems, resources and expertise across health services. This improves efficiency, supports smaller services, reduces duplication, and helps deliver better value for the community.
