Webinar - Relapse Prevention
10 October 2020
Relapse prevention planning is an important element of mental health care and recovery. But how do you do it? This webinar will demonstrate a simple to use relapse prevention planning tool known as the Back in the Saddle (BITS) model. The webinar will be followed by a live Q&A and is open to the public. Upon registration you will receive links to the Relapse Prevention cards and link to the journal article. This webinar is a collaboration with Monash University, Nexus Dual Diagnosis Consultation service and NEMHSCA.

YMHA Information Sharing & Confidentiality resource

Nexus team members were part of the Yarra Mental Health Alliance (YMHA) collaboration that produced the Information Sharing & Confidentiality resource. Merissa van Setten & Kevan Myers were active in the working party which included writing the document and Lynne Ruggiero is one of the recorded speakers available in the youtube link.

Lived Experience Strategies

The Lived Experience Workforce Stewardship Group released three workforce strategies in June 2019. The stewardship of the strategies is held collectively by the Centre for Mental Health Learning (CMHL); The Victorian Mental Illness Awareness Council (VMIAC); Tandem; the Carer Lived Experience Workforce Network (CLEW); the Self Help Addiction Resource Centre (SHARC); The Bouverie Centre; the Centre for Psychiatric Nursing (Melbourne University); Mental Health Victoria; Victorian Dual Diagnosis Initiative (VDDI) and the Department of Health and Human Services Victoria.

Conference on Social Work in Health and Mental Health
Nexus team leader Kevan Myers recently presented the Reasons For Use Package research results at the 9th International Conference on Social Work in Health and Mental Health held at the University of York, UK, from 22 - 26 July 2019. The connections made at the conference will provide another platform for future collaborations to roll out the RFUP internationally.
