The Movement Disorders Allied Health Therapy Program offers interdisciplinary care for people with Parkinson’s Disease, or other movement disorders such as Multi System Atrophy (MSA), and Progressive Supra Nuclear Palsy (PSP).
The program consists of individual (Fairfield/Kew) or group sessions (Kew) depending on your needs and attendance location.
It is based on the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT BIG and LSVT LOUD) principles of intensity, amplitude and whole body training. We will help build your strength, balance, and confidence, to be able to do the things you wish to do.
The 8-week exercise group runs twice a week for 1 hour. A speech therapy group also runs for those that require input.
