Contact Us

If you or your doctor have submitted a referral, please allow 2–3 weeks for processing. Once your referral has been reviewed, you will be contacted regarding the next steps.
Please note that most of our specialists attend one to two outpatient clinics per week at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and work at other locations during the remainder of the week. As a result, they are generally not available to provide advice or respond to requests between clinic sessions or scheduled appointments.

Prescriptions

Prescriptions cannot be issued between appointments. Please contact your GP in the first instance for prescription requests. If the matter is urgent, please call the St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne switchboard on (03) 9231 2211 and ask to speak with the Neurology Registrar. Please note that Registrars are primarily based on the hospital wards and may not be immediately available, so a response may take some time.

Correspondence

Requests for clinic letters and correspondence should be directed to the Hospital Health Information Services.

Health Pathways

HealthPathways Melbourne is an online portal designed to be used by general practice at the point of care to guide best practice assessment, management and referral of common clinical conditions.

Please Note:
This is a public outpatient service. All patients need to be referred to us by a GP. Please see your GP if you believe you would benefit from a referral to this clinic. Many doctors have private consulting suites as well as working in the public hospital system. This is entirely separate from St Vincent’s and our staff do not have any information about the private consulting practices of doctors.
