SVHM provides a well- supported environment for trainees undertaking the RACP PREP program. The hospital is accredited as a level 3 hospital by the RACP and has a structured and comprehensive training program providing individual support for all trainees. SVHM has an outstanding reputation over many years for success in the RACP examinations. There are general medical and subspecialty rotations available to enable trainees to experience a variety of disciplines prior to making a career pathway decision. What do we look for in a potential St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne (SVHM) employee? An ideal candidate is one who expresses and demonstrates a desire to train at St Vincent’s, as well as demonstrates academic, clinical and personal traits that St Vincent’s would find desirable in a potential employee/trainee. All BPT posts are allocated in Victoria through the matching process. Eligibility to participate in the match in Victoria is governed by PMCV in conjunction with the Victorian Government funding body, Department of Health.
