Portable Ultrasound Device in ED, Morobe, PNG

Angau Memorial Provincial Hospital Emergency Department (AMPH ED) is the second biggest ED in Papua New Guinea and sees around 9,000 patients a month from a wide catchment, meaning many patients have come from a long way away and arrive very sick. The aim of this project was to reduce morbidity and mortality from some common diseases in Papua New Guinea, with the purchase of a portable Butterfly IQ- a whole-body Ultrasound probe handheld device.
