General introduction to the service and dual disability. VDDS Training deliverables are targeted towards staff employed within the 21 Area Mental Health Services.
Each year the VDDS sets a training calendar.

MORE DATES ADDED TO THE 2021 WEBINAR CALENDAR!
In 2021 the Victorian Dual Disability Service (VDDS) will be delivering a series of 1 hour Webinars for staff working in mental health and the Disability sector.
The Webinar topics are :
- Assessment of mental illness in people with an Intellectual Disability
- Treatment of mental illness in people with Intellectual Disability
- Systemic, legal and ethical issues in the management of mental illness in people with intellectual disability
- Borderline Personality Disorders in people with an Intellectual Disability
- Introduction to Autistic Spectrum Disorder
- Management of Autistic Spectrum Disorder
- Challenging Behaviour
Format: The Webinars will consist of a 45 minute lecture followed by a 15 minute question and answer session. A chat function will also be available.
Delivery: The webinars will be delivered using the ZOOM platform. Registered participants will be sent a link by email to be able to join the session and will require access to a computer with audio-visual capacity.

If you work in public mental health, MHPOD is available through your workplace. The VDDS developed the topic on Dual Disability.
