Please note these rotations are a representative only and are subject to change. Generally, Interns are allocated one secondment rotation during their PGY1 year. SVHM Rotations Anaesthetics Breast and Endocrine Surgery Cardiology Cardiothoracics Colorectal Surgery Emergency Geriatrics General Medicine Neurology - Stroke Palliative Care Psychiatry - Acute Inpatient Services Psychiatry - Consultant Liaison Radiology Rehabilitation Renal Upper GI / Hepatobillary Surgery Secondment Rotations Royal Children's Hospital General Medicine / Short Stay Unit (Dolphin Ward) South West Healthcare - Warrnambool Base Hospital General Medicine Psychiatry - Childhood and Adolescent Mental Health Swan Hill District Health Emergency General Practice General Surgery Western District Health Service - Hamilton Base Hospital General Medicine General Surgery Rotation Allocations Rotations will be allocated to the new Intern cohort after submitting preferences for: Annual leave term preference Metropolitan rotations Regional rotations Indication of whether your annual leave allocation or rotation preference is a higher priority Our Medical Workforce Unit will aim to accommodate your preferences, although unfortunately cannot guarantee all preferences are met. For over-subscribed rotations, these will be allocated randomly among those who preference them. After the Master Planner has been completed, there will be an opportunity to swap, while ensuring all Interns still meet the required clinical experiences for successful completion of Internship. Medical Workforce will do their best to accommodate these swaps on a case-by-case basis.
