All dealings involving Genetically Modified Organisms (GMOs) conducted at St Vincent's Hospital must be reviewed and approved by the St Vincent's Hospital Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC).
Activities involving GMOs fall into four main categories:
The IBC meets four times per year. All applications must be submitted to a meeting of the IBC. New applications will not be reviewed out of session. Therefore, applications must submitted by the following dates in order to be considered:
