The Research Governance Unit is responsible for both the ethical and governance review of projects involving Humans, Animals and Gene Technology.

Library Service

The St Vincent's Hospital Library is led by Mr Jeremy Taylor, Chief Librarian. The Library is available to all staff of St Vincent's and clinical students on placement at the Hospital.
 
The Library Service consists of three libraries:

  • Carl de Gruchy Library – Fitzroy Campus
  • Caritas Christi Hospice Library
  • St George's Library

BioResources

The BioResources Centre is led by Ms Helen Barlow.  The BRC is a first class research facility, facilitating world class research.

St Vincent’s Centre for Nursing Research

The St Vincent’s Centre for Nursing Research is led by Professor Linda Worrall-Carter. This unit operates under the auspices of the Research Directorate.

The St Vincent’s Centre for Nursing Research (SVCNR) is a collaborative centre between St Vincent’s Hospital in Melbourne and the Australian Catholic University. The Centre aims to develop better health outcomes through the examination of models of care. SVCNR has a strong commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and advocates for evidence-based practice.
