This information is for patients who have an appointment with a specialist doctor or health professional at St Vincent's Clinics. Please refer to your appointment letter for instructions on how to contact us if you have a question that is not answered below.
How do I get to St Vincent's Clinics?
St Vincent's Clinics are located on the Ground Floor of the Daly Wing, 35 Victoria Parade, Fitzroy (please see the Fitzroy campus map).
Our Parking and transport page provides directions on how to get there. Please allow for the possibility of extended waiting times if you are driving and plan to park on the street in a restricted time zone.
For clinics at our St George's campus, please proceed to the Specialist Clinics reception near the main reception.
What should I bring?
Please bring your:
- appointment letter
- Medicare card
- medicine that you are taking
- test results, x-rays, etc
- GP contact details
- a book or other activity to pass the time
How long will my appointment take?
Every patient is different so some appointments will take longer than others. The specialist will spend as much time with you as needed to make sure you receive the best possible care.
For this reason, it is difficult to know how long you might need to wait on the day. Please be prepared to spend some time at our clinics. Bring items you may need, such as food or medication. You may also choose to bring something to read to pass the time. We recommend you arrange childcare or time off work to avoid anxiety if you are delayed.
Tests
As a patient at St Vincent's Clinics, you may need tests (such as a blood or urine test) or to visit medical imaging for an x-ray, CT scan, ultrasound or MRI.
When are the clinics open?
St Vincent's Clinics are open Monday to Friday. No weekend appointments are available.
