Coming to hospital is a unique experience for each person. It may be a time of anxiety, fear and uncertainty. You may even find yourself in a state of transition and start to think more deeply about your life and what is important to you. You may just like to share your experience with another person.
Pastoral care practitioners are part of the multi-disciplinary team of staff that care for you during your stay with us. Their particular emphasis is on providing emotional and spiritual support.

Pastoral care is respectful and supportive of all beliefs, religious traditions and cultures. There is no requirement to have either a spiritual belief or a religious background to see a pastoral care practitioner.
A Catholic chaplain is available each day and representatives from other denominations and faith traditions are available on call. Pastoral Care staff are available Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
Further information is available on Anointing of the Sick for Catholic patients.
