Supporting St. Vincent's

Each year gifts from the community and special events assist St. Vincent’s Health to provide the highest quality in patient health care and facilities, the latest in medical technology, valuable resources to advance medical research, teaching and training of healthcare professionals, support of those most vulnerable in the community.

While the majority of fundraising initiatives and activities are coordinated through the St. Vincent's Hospital Foundation, all funds raised are applied to priorities identified across the whole of St. Vincent’s Health’s services whether they be located at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, Caritas Christi Hospice, St. Georges Health Service or Prague House.

Our Vision for Caritas Christi Hospice …
Caritas Christi Hospice is an important part of St. Vincent’s Health and provides high quality palliative care.  St. Vincent’s Health has a strong vision for Caritas Christi Kew.

We are renovating Caritas Christi to create a private, peaceful and dignified environment for our palliative care patients and their families.

St. Vincent’s Health has already commenced the major renovation of Caritas Christi Hospice Kew.  We knew that the environment was sub-optimal and needed to be improved for our patients and their carers and families.  Given the time delay between planning, building and commissioning, we couldn’t wait any longer.

Our vision for Caritas will result in a hospice that truly exemplifies the values of the Sisters of Charity – compassion, justice, human dignity, excellence and unity.
