Outpatient Clinics
The clinic encourages both
general orthopaedic referrals and the following sub-specialty areas:
- Musculoskeletal Tumours
- Arthroplasty
- Shoulder Surgery
- Reconstructive Limb Surgery, Bone Transport and Ilizarov
Techniques
- Treatment of Sports Injuries including Knee Reconstruction
Appointments are prioritised based on clinical
urgency. Please provide the following information:
- Reason for referral
- Signs and symptoms
- Duration of symptoms
- Relevant past history
Please arrange basic blood tests and
imaging before referral if possible, and include these in your referral. If your
patient requires urgent assessment please arrange this through Professor
Peter Choong’s secretary on telephone 9288 3980.
For spinal issues refer to Neurosurgery at St
Vincent's or to the Royal Melbourne Hospital or the Austin Hospital.
Hand referrals should be made to the Plastic &
