The Unit provides a consultative service for patients with all forms of renal disease including:

 - diabetes

 - hypertension

 - renal vascular disease

 - immunological renal disease

 - glomerulonephritis

 - lupus nephritis. 

Appointments are prioritised based on clinical urgency. Please provide the following information:

 - Reason for referral

 - Signs and symptoms

 - See 'tests required' opposite

 - Duration of symptoms

 - Relevant past history

Dialysis Services

The Unit provides a broad range of dialysis facilities for end-stage renal failure, including in-centre, home and satellite haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.  Our in-centre facility for maintenance haemodialysis patients is located in Gertrude Street, Fitzroy and a local Satellite Unit is at St. George’s Hospital in Kew. 

As well, St. Vincent’s supports Satellite Haemodialysis Units in Shepparton, Warrnambool, Swan Hill, Werribee, Sale and the Angliss Hospital in Ferntree Gully.
