Yarra-Boroondara Primary Mental Health Service

The Yarra-Boroondara Primary Mental Health Service provides support and information to GPs and other health care providers who work in the cities of Yarra and Boroondara, regarding their work with any patients with mental health problems.  It is the GP’s not the patient’s address that is used to define someone as being within the catchment.

Joint consultations for GPs with their patients are offered for patients who are presenting with depression or anxiety, or young people presenting with early signs of serious mental illness.  The team also provide education and training to local primary health care providers.  The service is based at local Community Health Services, and see people at the site of their primary care provider (eg GP surgery).
