Multidisciplinary Head & Neck
Cancer Clinic

St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne provides a comprehensive head and neck cancer program and prides itself as a centre of excellence in the management of head and neck cancer patients.

The multidisciplinary clinic focuses on assessment and treatment of all malignancies of the head and neck, and only utilises staff that specialise in head and neck oncology.

The multidisciplinary cancer clinic is a combined initiative of St Vincent's Health Melbourne, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre and the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.  This multidisciplinary approach to head and neck cancer patients enables a mechanism for multidisciplinary input into the treatment, planning and ongoing management of our head and neck cancer patients.

Clinic objectives

 - To provide an opportunity for multidisciplinary discussion of
all new cases of head and neck cancer presenting to the
   surgical and oncology team.

 - To ensure all new patients presenting with a malignancy
have their case discussed by a multidisciplinary team with
all available information about their case.

 - To determine, in light of all available information and
evidence, accurate disease staging and the most
appropriate treatment and care plan for each individual
   patient.
