The Victorian Brain and Spine Centre (VBSC) provides a complete range of acute and elective Neurosurgical care. The VBSC is based at St Vincents in Fitzroy and provides care across Victoria (see rural clinics).

We also offer Neurophysiology diagnostic services.

Referral Guidelines

This is a public outpatient service. All patients need to be referred to us by a GP. Please see your GP if you believe you would benefit from a referral to this clinic. Many doctors have private consulting suites as well as working in the public hospital system. This is entirely separate from St Vincent’s and our staff do not have any information about the private consulting practices of doctors.

Epilepsy Neurosurgery Clinic – 3rd Tuesday of the month am (monthly)
Neurosurgery Clinic – Tuesday am
Neuro-oncology – Tuesday am, 1st Tuesday of the month
Neurosurgery ward discharge Clinic runs Tuesday pm & Wednesday am alternate weeks
