St Vincent’s Department of Neurosciences provides specialist management for the following conditions:

epilepsy
movement disorders
dizziness

We do not provide treatment for the following:

chronic pain
back pain
psychological conditions
drug addiction
dementia in the elderly

GPs can refer directly for nerve conduction studies by downloading this form. Elderly patients with dementia should be referred to St Georges CDAMS Clinic. Patients with chronic migraine who have been managed with all available therapies will not benefit from a referral to neurology clinic. Please phone the Lead Nurse for further information.

This is a public outpatient service. All patients need to be referred to us by a GP. Please see your GP if you believe you would benefit from a referral to this clinic. Many doctors have private consulting suites as well as working in the public hospital system. This is entirely separate from St Vincent’s and our staff do not have any information about the private consulting practices of doctors.
