St Vincent’s Nephrology unit provides a consultative service for patients with all forms of renal disease (non obstructive) including diabetes, hypertension, renal vascular disease, immunological renal disease, glomerulonephritis, lupus nephritis and chronic renal failure.
Clinics include:
- Renal Transplant Clinic – for post transplant patients
- Renal Transplant Surgical – for pre assessment for renal transplantation
Renal Transplant Coordinator
The Renal Transplant Coordinator provides pre and post transplant education for patients. GP enquiries regarding transplantation should be directed to Kim Mullins Tel: (03) 9288 4298.
Dialysis services
The unit provides a broad range of dialysis facilities for end-stage renal failure, including in-centre, home and satellite haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Our in-centre facility for maintenance haemodialysis patients is located in Gertrude Street, Fitzroy and a local satellite unit is located at St George’s in Kew.
Rural haemodialysis units are located in Shepparton, Warrnambool, Swan Hill, Werribee, Sale and the Angliss Hospital in Ferntree Gully.
