St Vincent’s Hepatology (Hepatitis) nurse consultant:

  • streamlines the provision of clinical services for patients with Hepatitis
  • provides an advanced clinical nursing service
  • ensures that patients who are treatment candidates or have advanced liver disease are reviewed in a timely manner
  • provides individual education and advice to GPs about Hepatitis and the appropriate management
  • supports GPs to participate in the Hepatitis shared care program

 

St Vincent's Hepatology nurse consultants provide support to patients undergoing treatment for Hepatitis.

Referral guildelines
This is a public outpatient service. All patients need to be referred to us by a GP. Please see your GP if you believe you would benefit from a referral to this clinic. Many doctors have private consulting suites as well as working in the public hospital system. This is entirely separate from St Vincent’s and our staff do not have any information about the private consulting practices of doctors.
