Cancer services 

St Vincent’s Cancer Services identifies patients with a diagnosis of cancer and ensures that they receive coordinated care from a multidisciplinary team within the hospital and supported by their community. The patient, family members and GPs are encouraged to contact the treating team if needed.   For queries regarding diagnosis and referral the staff listed below will assist GPs and facilitate a timely access for appointments and follow up.

Psychosocial Cancer Care Referral

Psycho-oncology services at St Vincent’s (including Caritas Christi) are provided to oncology, haematology, surgical oncology and palliative care units by two sessional psychiatrists and a psychologist who provides sessional service to palliative care patients only.

Inpatient and outpatient consultations for family members of inpatients, staff support and educational sessions can be provided. Tel: (03) 9288 2057 (please leave a message so your call can be returned if the phone is unattended).
