Specialist Clinics at St. George's Hospital

CDAMS (Cognitive Dementia and Memory Service) runs weekly. Please forward recent CT Scan and Investigations

Falls and Balance Clinic runs a weekly interdisciplinary clinic involving Medical, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry and Nursing staff.

Geriatric Medical Clinic runs three times weekly and provides a geriatric medical out-patient clinic at St Georges Hospital.  

Regional Continence Service conducts Medical, Nursing and Physiotherapy assessment and management clinics. A second weekly Urodynamics session is also conducted through the continence service.

OT Driving Assessment Clinic  runs weekly for clients requiring driving reassessment. Appointments can be made by telephoning 9268 0565. Please forward Vic Roads Medical report form.

Geriatric Evaluation and Management (GEM)

St Vincent’s Health has a Geriatric Evaluation and Management unit at 2 campuses. The Caritas Christi Aged Care (or GEM) Unit is a 22 bed ward on the 3^rd Floor of the Bolte Wing at St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne and the St George’s  Geriatric Evaluation and Management unit is a 30 bed ward on 1^st floor of St Georges Hospital

Both units offers comprehensive multi-disciplinary management of elderly patients with a range of geriatric medical problems and complex care needs. Referral for assessment to either the Aged Care Consultancy Service or the Admissions Coordinator at St Georges Hospital.
