St. Vincent’s Hospital is
inviting GPs to apply to become an Associate Visiting Medical Officer (AVMO)
and participate in the GP Hospital in the Home (HITH) Program.
GP HITH is a program for acute GP
care in the home. This includes the treatment of cellulitis with intravenous
antibiotics, or the management of DVTs with LMWH. Medical care is directed by
either SVH or if preferred, by the patient’s own GP (GP HITH). The SVH
Emergency Department provides an on-call medical service for all HITH patients.

diabetes management.

GPs and can be arranged by contacting St. Vincent’s at Home on phone 9288 3817.
