Emergency Care Centre

 
 

The emergency Care Centre provides emergency care for the critically ill and injured and a diagnostic and treatment service for the less seriously ill and injured patients who require urgent hospital attention.

Referrals
Please call the senior clinician on duty (9288 4356) prior to the patient being despatched to hospital. 

It is the responsibility of the Emergency Physician to discuss the expectations of the referring doctor (eg: admissions or assessment) and possible alternative management strategies, eg: arranging an urgent outpatient appointment, hospital in the home.

It is the aim of the Emergency Department to accept all GP referrals. DVT, Cellulitis and Pyelonephritis may be referred to the GP Hospital in the Home (HITH) Program
