Meet our people

At St Vincent’s, we respect our staff as much as the people who come through our doors. Meet some of the people who make St Vincent's a special place.

Jenna Browne

Jenna Browne is a Graduate Nurse at St Vincent's. She grew up in Tarwin, South Gippsland and completed her nursing undergraduate degree at the University of Ballarat. In 2010 Jenna commenced the St Vincent’s Graduate Nurse Program.

Jenna was attracted by St Vincent’s reputation and the Graduate Nurse Program because of the two 6 month rotations. She said: “It was a good amount of time to consolidate my skills and work well within the team”.

Jenna also really wanted to work close to the city, so St Vincent’s central location was another reason why she chose us for her Graduate Nurse Program.

“The team on 10 East have been very welcoming and friendly. I have felt very supported here, and feel like I can always ask questions”, Jenna said.

Now, with nearly 6 months of the Graduate Nurse Program completed, Jenna has some advice for future graduate nurses. “Get enough sleep and exercise! Shift work can be extremely tiring but I’ve found just going for a walk or run helps clear your head and makes you feel more energised. Maintaining a good social life is important too but don’t overdo it on your days off, make sure you have a good rest”.
