Thank you for taking the time to visit this website, and for considering St. Vincent's for your Graduate Nurse Program.

St. Vincent’s is an exciting and expanding organisation, and has a strong commitment to providing teaching and training to all health professionals. In September 2008 Premier John Brumby announced St. Vincent's winner of the Premiers award for Metropolitan Health Service of the year commending our can do approach to healthcare.

St. Vincent’s has four major campuses. St. Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne is a major teaching, research, and tertiary referral centre situated on the fringe of Melbourne’s Central Business District. This modern state of the art hospital has over 550 beds and provides adult medical, surgical, emergency, critical care, mental health, sub acute and a range of community and out-reach services to clients from a diversity of backgrounds across both metropolitan and rural Victoria.

Caritas Christi Hospice has 28 beds and provides palliative care and supportive-care services from our campus in Kew. This service also incorporates inpatient services along with a day hospice and community day care centre and there are additional inpatient beds co-located with the acute services of St. Vincent's Hospital Melbourne in Fitzroy.

St. George’s Health Service has 242 beds, and provides inpatient aged care, rehabilitation, acute aged psychiatry and a range of community assessment and treatment services.

Prague House is a 45-bed residential aged care facility, providing services for older men who have health care needs, and have experienced homelessness.

St. Vincent's has a proud tradition, outstanding reputation, and is a high achiever in the provision of health services within Victoria. The mission of the Sisters of Charity is integral to our nursing teams and delivery of care, and support the values of Excellence, Compassion, Justice, Unity and Human Dignity. We are seeking graduates who are committed to providing high quality patient care, who embrace team work, strive to increase their knowledge and skills, and who demonstrate creative thinking. We aim to recruit applicants who will be self-directed and motivated to pursue and experience all opportunities available to them in our busy clinical areas, and enjoy working with our dynamic and experienced nursing teams.

We provide extensive support, fabulous educational opportunities, and will assist you to plan and achieve your professional goals...so we hope that you are not only looking for a Graduate Nurse Program position, but somewhere to launch your nursing career!
